Jyotika Sadanah was born on October 18, 1977, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Chander Sadanah, a film producer, and Seema Sadanah. Jyotika attended the prestigious Mithibai College in Mumbai, where she developed an interest in acting. Jyotika made her acting debut in the Hindi film 'Doli Saja Ke Rakhna' (1998),directed by Priyadarshan.
