Zuleikha Robinson

Early Life and Background

Born in London, England, on June 29, 1977, Zuleikha Robinson was raised in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia by an Indian-Burmese mother and an English father. She is also of Scottish, Burmese, Indian, Malay, and Iranian descent. Robinson is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. She is the sister of British field botanist Dr. Alastair Robinson.

Acting Career

Zuleikha Robinson made her film debut in the 2000 experimental film 'Timecode'. She gained attention on the 2001 series 'The Lone Gunmen', a part of 'The X-Files' franchise, playing Yves Adele Harlow, a mysterious thief. Her first lead role was in 'Hidalgo' (2004),where she played a 19th-century Arabian princess named Jazira, opposite Viggo Mortensen. Robinson's other notable roles include appearances in 'The Merchant of Venice' (2004),'The Namesake' (2006),and as a regular cast member on series such as 'Lost', 'Homeland', 'The Following', and most recently, 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' as Assistant District Attorney Vanessa Hadid.
